The Mindful Self-Compassion Workshop

Overview

We all agree we should be kinder to ourselves, but the challenge is often where to start & how to break old habits. Integrative Wellness' Mindful Self-Compassion Workshop provides simple tools for responding in a kind, compassionate way whenever we are experiencing painful emotions. Through discussion, meditation, and experiential exercises participants gain practical skills to help bring self compassion into their daily lives. 

Based on the groundbreaking research of Kristin Neff and the clinical expertise of Christopher Germer, Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) is an empirically-supported, eight-week workshop designed to cultivate the skill of self-compassion.  MSC teaches core principles and practices that enable participants to respond to difficult moments in their lives with kindness, care and understanding.

Dates

The Spring 2020 Mindful Self-Compassion trainings will be held every Wednesday evening, April 1st - May 20th, 2020 from 6pm – 8:30pm.  The program includes an additional 4-hour retreat to be scheduled in Late-April.

These workshops are intended to be an introduction to 8 Week Mindful Self-Compassion Workshop. By the end, you will depart with:

  • 1-2 self-compassion practices to immediately incorporate into your day-to-day life

  • A lived experience of the physiological benefits of mindful self-compassion, including decreased stress and increased ease & enjoyment of your day

  • Neurobiological explanation of mindfulness & self-compassion and how the practice can re-wire the brain
